Carpool Karaoke On Apple Music Will Feature Half-Hour Long Interviews, With Celebrity Hosts

The biggest question when Apple Music acquired Carpool Karaoke last summer was who is going to host the show. James Corden currently hosts the viral version of the series on CBS, but it was said that he would only be executive producer. Now more details regarding the Apple Music version has surfaced.

Variety reports that Carpool Karaoke will be hosted by different hosts every week, unlike the CBS version of the series which had one permanent host. Also, the Apple Music version will focus more on the interviews which would allow non-musical guests to be on the show.

Those pairings include more traditional musical choices like John Legend and Alicia Keys and Seth MacFarlane and Ariana Grande, but also more outside-the-box choices like Billy Eichner in the passenger seat, surrounded by the band Metallica, or former NFL star and talk show host Michael Strahan and NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon.

However, the report says that there’s no release date for the Apple Music version yet, but the episodes will each be half an hour long and require Apple Music in order to watch.
