Up until this point, Apple never sold refurbished iPhones on its online store. You could always pick up a refurbished iPad, Mac, or even AirPort Extreme, but never an iPhone.
Typically, Apple keeps refurbished units for repair/replacements when devices get sent through the Genius Bar. However, today Apple has begun selling refurbished iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus through their online store.
Previously, Apple sort of sold refurbished through third-party retailers such as eBay but never acknowledged it. This is the first time Apple is selling refurbished iPhones through their own online stores.
Unfortunately, the iPhone 6s can be found at 16GB storage options at $449. While the larger iPhone 6s Plus can be found at 16 or 64GB at $529 and $589, respectively. Both devices are available in all colors which includes Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold.
Customers who opt to go refurbished save roughly 15% ($110). It’s also worth noting that these devices come with a full 1-year factory warranty from Apple.
