Survey Says The IPhone Is The Most Popular Gift On 2016 Christmas Holiday Wish Lists
Even with declining sales, the iPhone is still the most popular gift on people’s 2016 Christmas wish lists, according to a survey from Piper Jaffray.
In addition to the iPhone, which 7.2 percent of people wanted, the MacBook has a 2.1% interest among the surveyed people. One thing noticeably missing from the list is any sort of tablet whether it be an iPad or an Android tablet.
On the other hand, smartwatches still have a small interest in consumers taking the number 4 spot at 0.9%. Of course, this includes Android Wear watches in addition to the Apple Watch. Overall, Apple has a 10% mindshare compared to the rest of the list which adds up to be 4.6%.
Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster says even though the iPhone 7 is a minor upgrade over its successors, consumers still want it.
