As of today, Apple Music has been officially available for one year. The music streaming service is now available in 110 different countries and originally launched on June 30, 2015.

Apple Music was initially available on iOS devices, and Macs and PCs running iTunes. After a short while, Apple launched the service on Android and Apple TV.

Apple’s music streaming service, which was an evolution of Beats Music has roughly 15 million subscribers after only being on the market for 12 months.

With that being said, Spotify still remains the top music streaming service in the world. With roughly two times the amount of paying customers as Apple. However, the Swedish company has been around in Europe for eight years and in the U.S. since 2011.

Now, being a year old, the company is overhauling the Music app in iOS 10, after being criticized countless times for having an unintuitive, confusing interface. Even with the new redesign coming in iOS 10, it’s being criticized for being over simplistic with heavy use of bolder fonts.
