Monday Moan – When Will Siri Justify Its Existence?

Siri is far from useless. It’s very useful. I can use it to open any app, call anyone on my contacts list, navigate to a location, book a table, check stats, do some quick sums and much much more. But it’s hardly vital.

In fact, if it wasn’t there, I don’t think I’d notice and that mostly to do with the way it’s been implemented. If Apple wants us to use it as a digital assistant, we should be able to react with it like one. Let it always be listening so I don’t have to press any buttons. I mean, pressing buttons is so archaic.

What do you think? Do you use Siri every day, or is it still a gimmick 2 years later?
