iPod touch 5th gen user guide published, benchmarks match iPhone 4S

Apple has just published a full user guide for the 5th gen iPod touch. The digital book can be found by browsing iBooks (you need iBooks 1.3.1 or later), or by hitting this link. The publication is very in depth and covers everything from the basic physical controls to software, settings and the like. As far as we know, the new iPod touch isn’t yet available in stores, but shipments are being prepared and shipped to users who pre-ordered.

In other news, an interesting set of benchmarks have been published detailing the new iPod’s performance. Unsurprisingly, they’re very similar to the iPhone 4S, which uses the same A5 processor.
