A silent policy change to the iTunes Connect interface has been noticed by several developers, something that hasn’t been formally announced by Apple just yet.
The new change prevents developers from updating their App Store descriptions without going through the App Review process.
Before today, developers were able to update their app descriptions at any time, with or without going through App Review.
This included updating the actual description, or modifying the release notes. The only modifiable entry on the page is now to edit the Privacy Policy URL.
This means that developers must create a new app version, change the metadata, and wait for App Review in order to update their app descriptions.
