Brydge, purveyors of fine aluminum keyboards for iPad, have unveiled new color-ways for their BrydgeAir keyboard to match the new iPad Air 2.
We previously covered the launch of BrydgeAir — a keyboard with a thin, light and high quality aluminum construction that brings with it physical backlit keys and stereo speakers. We’ve also teamed up with Brydge to give away 5 BrydgeAirs to lucky readers in our competition that is running until the end of October!
Brydge has clearly taken a leaf out of Apple’s book in terms of design as the BrydgeAir is reminiscent of Apple’s MacBook lineup in both aesthetics and construction. It’s built out of a single piece of aluminum and is finished to a really high standard that is befitting of the iPad it accompanies. It’s also 35% lighter than the previous generation Brydge keyboard in order to not weigh your ultra-light iPad Air down.
Brydge maintained that BrydgeAir would fit iPad Air 2 and the company has gone one step further and will offer the keyboard silver, space gray and gold colors to ensure the best match for the device of your choice.
BrydgeAir features a unique hinge design that clips onto the iPad and securely grips it, giving it a laptop-like form factor unlike other iPad keyboards on the market. It also has a 180 degree viewing angle.
Complete with that backlit keyboard and stereo speakers, the iPad Air combined with the BrydgAir is set to give iPad users the most laptop-like experience possible. The keyboard is adapted for iOS and features a full row with shortcuts for Spotlight search, the Photos app, cut/copy/paste, media playback, volume, and screen lock.
BrydgeAir is available to order now in silver, with space gray shipping December 1 and gold units beginning shipping on January 1, 2015. The price? $169.
