You heard it right folks, there has been a typewriter developed that works with your iPad. When in landscape mode, this high-tech typewriter actually serves as a keyboard for your favorite Apple tablet.
The creator of this one of a kind machine is Austin Yang, a industrial designer currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland. The iTypewriter works by using a hammer with a capacitive touch bumper to touch the iPad’s on-screen keyboard.
Unfortunately you have to type very slow because the physical keyboard doesn’t exactly line up with the on-screen QWERTY keyboard, most likely because of the mechanics the designer has created.
Personally, I can’t see myself buying something like this, but I must say it’s extremely cool and will be loved by all those folks who miss their typewriters.
