Apple has just released the beta version of iOS 7.1 to developers.
The new software is available via Apple’s developer website to download now! The 7.1 beta is available on all devices that support iOS 7. Please note that if you do update to the beta version of 7.1 you cannot restore your device to an earlier version of iOS.
[Update – the release notes of the beta have now been made available.]
As you would expect, the majority of the changes are bug fixes. One known issue fixed is the problem of 32-bit apps not being able to attach to BTserver when running on a 64-bit device. There’s a new compatibility behavior to address an issue where some web servers were sending the wrong Content-Length value whilst browsing. Other changes include line spacing corrections, and the fixing of a high precision timer issue, where timers were delayed by up to 1 millisecond when devices were sleeping. Apple’s iTunes Match Library may now take longer than expected to load, if this occurs, you’re asked to wait 30 minutes and then try again. You can read the full release notes here!
