Hulu Plus adds Chromecast support on iOS

If you are someone that bought Google’s new Apple TV competitor, the Chromecast, and also happen to be a Hulu Plus subscriber, then you are having a good day today. Why? Because Hulu just updated its application to support the Chromecast on iOS, that’s why. Here is the quick and to the point change log from iTunes:

What’s New in Version 3.3.1

Start casting your favorite TV shows and Movies on Chromecast from Hulu Plus, now from your iPhone (iOS6 and above)

As you can see that is the only thing from this update, simply bringing the version up to 3.3.1. This makes all your Hulu content Chromecast compatible, all you need aside from the subscription and the app is – of course – a Chromecast. For those unaware, Chromecast is an HDMI dongle made by Google that is basically a really small and not quite full-featured wannabe Apple TV. If you are interested in the updated app, you can get it here: Hulu Plus.

What do you think? Are you a Chromecast and Hulu Plus user? Glad to see this update? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
