iPhone 5s feature highlight: Slo-Mo

So the new iPhone 5s is out, and I’ve had it in my hands for just under a day. Playing around with the new features, I got a chance to sit down on UCF’s campus and take some video of bikers and skateboarders. What was so special about the video, though? The iPhone 5s brings with it 120fps 720p video, and let me tell you, it is awesome. A few of my examples are embedded into one video which can be found above. To access this feature, you scroll to the very left inside the Camera app, where you will see “SLO-MO” (see below). You also will see “12oFPS” on it.

Below you can see the selected parts for the videos that are found above, and you can see that the parts with the further apart bars are the parts that will play in slow motion.

Also inside the Camera is a new burst mode, which I will be taking a look at later once I can find more uses for it instead of just trying to come up with something random. Personally, overall I am loving the new features of the 5s, and recommend an update to anyone thinking about making the jump.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the slo-mo option? What would you use it for? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
