Twitter #Music sees drop in popularity

Despite the initial buzz surrounding its launch, Twitter #Music has seen a significant drop in popularity just 9 days after its launch.

Twitter #Music peaked a no.5 in the App Store’s free apps chart, however it now sits at No.113, and is now ranked No. 10 in the App Stores’ music category.

Twitter #Music is much less popular than Twitter’s video sharing service Vine, which is still ranked at No.3 in the App Store.

Personally, I downloaded Twitter #Music, checked it once, and then deleted it, but the decline in popularity remains unclear, perhaps Twitter #Music simply serves a different function to user expectations, or perhaps its simply not an effective app.

Why do you think Twitter #Music is losing popularity? Do you like Twitter #Music? Or did you too find yourself underwhelmed by the app? Leave your comments and thoughts below.

The problem with #music is that there is little or no relationship between the people follow and the music that they like.
