Video and music streaming is all the rage today, it seems. Spotify is currently one of the kings of the music streaming industry, but according to some “unnamed” sources that spoke with Business Insider, it could be looking to expand into video streaming as well. Currently this area is dominated by the likes of Netflix and Hulu, however with Spotify’s brand image that it has been gaining over the past few years, it could see success in the area.
According the rumors, not only would partners be providing content, but it sounds like Spotify may be looking to create its own content as well. There wasn’t much word on whether it would be a separate cost from the music subscriptions it currently offers, or if it would be included. Being a current subscriber, I wouldn’t mind seeing it being included, but I doubt it will be.
What do you think? Are you interested in what this could become? Wondering what will be available? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
