Manufacturers prep for June 2013 iPhone 5S launch

According to a leaked presentation catalogue detailing a Shenzhen-based manufacturer’s 2013 product plans, the iPhone 5S is set to launch in June of this year. In addition to a slew of new cases, chargers, Qi-enabled wireless chargers, and other iPhone accessories, this catalogue puts the launch of a new device – the iPhone 5S – just a few months away.

Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard iPhone 5S launch date rumors (and it probably won’t be the last), but this particular story is a bit different. The Shenzhen-based manufacturer in question is not only Apple certified, but it’s working directly with Foxconn, a notoriously huge Apple production partner. At this point there’s no way to confirm this information, but the direct ties to legitimate companies makes this one of the most convincing iPhone 5S rumors we’ve seen thus far.

What are your thoughts on this leak? Is it too soon to see the next-gen iPhone, even if it is just an “S” generation device, or will you be surprised if the iPhone 5S doesn’t hit store shelves this summer? Sound off in the comments section below or let me know on twitter @TiP_Jake.

I don’t know what to think about the rumor, but it would be awesome to see a new iPhone in June.  I’m up for an upgrade on June 14, and would love to get one as soon as possible.
