Rumors of an Apple TV update have been circulating for a while now, the most recent of which came on Wednesday, as the (now refuted) claims of an Apple special event in March for the device began. However, today we seem to have some solid evidence of Apple’s plans for a new, improved Apple TV, as the company has posted a job listing looking for a software engineer to “bring the Apple experience to the Living Room”, and has stated the project as “high priority”.
The full listing reads:
“The Apple TV team is looking for an experienced engineering manager to help deliver the next generation features for Apple TV. Bring your creative energy and engineering discipline, and help us bring the Apple experience to the Living Room…Work closely with cross functional teams, representing Apple TV across Apple”
Though the claims for Apple’s supposed spring event have now lost their value, a number of new, less dubious sources have come out and said that the event is in-fact planned for fall.
