“Mailbox” email app launching soon for iPhone for free, reserve your spot now

Take a quick minute (1:11 to be more exact) to watch the video above, please. What is this mystical Mailbox app, and when it is coming? In the “coming weeks,” that is when. I had actually not heard of this app until this announcement, but many others have. This application looks to reinvent email “for a world on the go.” From the looks of it, it does a pretty good job at that. You can use swipe gestures to delete, “check off” like tasks, and “schedule” emails for later, so you don’t need to attend to them immediately or use them as a reminder for later.

If you are interested in getting this app, you have to wait, but as stated earlier it has been announced to be arriving in the “coming weeks.” Another great part? It’ll be free! But to deal with the large amount of hype this is getting, the company behind Mailbox, Orchestra, has put together a reservation system. You should hurry though, as I’m not sure how fast these things are going. You can head on over to the reservation page¬†and take your spot. At the moment, Orchestra has said that Mailbox will support multiple accounts and push notifications, but for the time being only Gmail. Other email providers are said to be provided in future updates, and the app will only run on iPhone at the beginning, but expand in updates.

What do you think? Looking forward to the app? Already reserved your spot? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
