Updated in iOS 6.1 beta 1 – New music controls in Lock Screen, simpler Maps bug reporting

iOS 6.1 beta 1 was released to developers yesterday, without much in terms of new features. The two most obvious ones are the Maps bug reporting and music controls changes in the Lock Screen. In the Maps app, if you want to report a bug, the option for doing so sits front and center and is twice the size of any of the usual “Drop Pin”, “Show Traffic” or “Print” icons.

Also, when you want to control your music from the Lock Screen, the controls have changed in appearance. The slider has a brushed metal finish, and the play/pause/skip icons are spread across the entire width of the screen.

Let us know in the comments if you spot any performance enhancements or changes in the beta software. Our very own Kyle Frost current has it installed and will be keeping his eyes peeled for any changes.

I don't see the music controls change at all on my iPhone 5. Is this going to come out later or do you guys have some different update? :/

@KVKdragon these are not part of the iOS 6.0.1 update we all got. It is coming in iOS 6.1. These were screenshots from beta testers if the new software.
