Sprint will carry the 4th gen LTE iPad and iPad mini

Among the ton of new launches covered by Apple yesterday, the 4th generation iPad stood out as perhaps a sore point for many 3rd gen buyers. Having only launched the first LTE equipped iDevice a few months earlier, Cupertino’s chiefs made it obsolete with one fell swoop. It was swapped out for a Lightning equipped tablet with a faster processor and more world-friendly LTE bands.

Unlike the 3rd generation iPad, Apple included the US’ #3 carrier on its list of supported networks yesterday. Although we’re not sure when the 4G versions of the 4th gen iPad and iPad mini will arrive, we do know how much they’ll cost. And we know they will all be available on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint’s 4G networks. Sorry, still no T-mobile love (sad face).
