It’s fair to say that when the iPad mini launched, it received mixed responses from both the public and the media. Most negative thoughts were down to the price when compared to products like the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and the Nexus 7. It’s been almost a week since the smaller tablet was unveiled and only three days since pre-orders opened to a whole host of countries. In those three days, all of the initial pre-order stock has finally sold out.
I say finally because with most Apple launches, the device is sold out in a few hours, and that’s with a launch in just 9 countries. Perhaps it’s a case of Cupertino’s stock management team being better prepared. It could just be the simple truth that smaller tablets aren’t as popular as large ones. Either way, the iPad mini is unlikely to steal thunder from its bigger brother, as some analysts suggested it might.
If you’re anxious to get your hands on an iPad mini as soon as it’s available, this Friday coming (2nd Nov), the only way you’ll get it now is if you go stand in line at an Apple store, or another reseller.
