Verizon and Sprint have both announced that they will be accepting pre-orders from 12am Pacific time tonight (that’s 3am Eastern, tomorrow morning.) For you East Coasters, that’ll mean either getting up stupidly early or staying up very late. Having gone through a few of these, server crashes could mean that it’s better to go to sleep and try a little while after 3am. It will take you a while to get your orders through.

As of yet, Apple hasn’t announced anything, and neither has AT&T. However, with Cupertino likely enforcing a release embargo, the timing will probably be the same. If you want to buy it on launch day at a bricks-and-mortar store, you can turn up ready for doors to open at 8am at Apple stores. Be ready to get in line though. I have a feeling that this year is going to be a bit crazy!
