Apple, in its all-day marathon of showing off the iPhone 5′s features, has created a page on its website dedicated to showing off photographs taken with the new iPhone’s redesigned camera. Though the camera is still 8 megapixels, Apple claims that the photos the new phone takes are enhanced because of the brand new sapphire crystal lens covering.
Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller also stated that, with the help of the A6 processor, the iPhone 5 can capture images up to 40 percent faster than the iPhone 4S, which already has a super fast shutter speed. What’s more, the lens is 25% smaller than the previous iPhone 4′s lens, which helped make the iPhone 5 the slimmest iPhone yet.
You can check out the gallery below. I’d say it’s pretty clear that the iPhone 5′s camera is a home run.
