Nine people facing jail time for helping kid swap his organs for an iPhone
Well this has got to be the strangest story I’ve read all morning, er…week? Apparently there are nine people who could be looking at some jail time for helping a boy sell his kidney to buy an iPad and an iPhone. I’m gonna repeat that for affect. HE SOLD HIS KIDNEY TO BUY AN IPAD AND AN IPHONE.
The student, ‘Wang’ was paid around $3500 for his kidney, but after the operation went into renal failure (couldn’t have been worth it…). Others that made money included the surgeon, a contractor for the urology department at the hospital, two nurses, a surgical assistant, an anesthesiologist, and two other people. His family is currently seeking compensation $357k. Nice going guys. Again: suing because his idea to turn his organs in to iDevices went wrong. Whatever next?
Okay, I can’t imagine what would have prompted this, not sure how many products out there are worth surrendering a kidney for, or I don’t know maybe I’m just stingy with my organs.

I love Apple tech myself but the only bits of my body I'd maybe be willing to sell is blood plasma or something similarly renewable. There's hardly a replacement for vital organs and their functions (smh)
