Mobile Safari beats out competition in HTML 5 rendering

Mobile browsers have been competing to woo users to specific platforms since the dawn of the smartphone, and people have been testing and benchmarking them for just as long. The most recent is a comparison test to see which renders HTML 5 the speediest.

The people over at wpcentral did a test and found that the version of Safari that will be shipping with iOS 6 beat out all other platforms in HTML 5 rendering. Good news for all you video and interactivity junkies out there. Javascript however was another story, in that department Internet Explorer 10 for Windows Phone was the champion.

While these results are interesting, keep in mind that neither of these browsers are in their final releases yet (still in beta) so it could all completely turn around by release.

So…which mobile browser do you prefer?
