Safari Download Manager finally updated for iOS 5
iOS power-user of the jailbreak variety will be happy with this – Safari Download Manager has been updated for use with iOS 5. Yes, you read it right, iOS 5, not 6. Developer Dustin Howett released his update to the well known tweak, once again allowing you to download all sorts of files directly on your iDevice. This is a jailbreak tweak though, so you will not be able to use it on a non-jailbroken device.
Safari Download manager has always been a favorite of the jailbreak community. This release, version 2.0, brings with it the same capabilities seen in the previous version, the only major update being the new iOS 5 support. You can download up to 10 files at once, and separate downloads into whichever folder you desire. When first installed the tweak will support many different files types, and even more can be added. It’s not free though. This Cydia Store tweak comes in at $5, but if you are a previous owner the update is free. So for those of you interested, it is in Cydia on the BigBoss repo.
What do you think? Did you miss this tweak? Hope it will be updated soon for iOS 6 as well? Let us know in the comments.
