Incipio Flagship Folio for iPad – First Looks & Gallery

I love the new iPad. In fact, I’d even go as far as to say that it’s currently – in my mind – the best device Apple has ever launched. I use it every day to do everything from playing games and watching videos, to browsing the web, and shopping on Ebay. The amount that can be achieved on such a small device baffles me. Needless to say, I like my iPad to be protected from the cruelties of the outside world. My kids don’t necessarily have the same values. So, I need a good, solid and practical case. I think I may have found one.

The Incipio Flagship Folio is – as the name suggests – a Folio case, designed to look like it’s top of the line. It’s made predominantly of Polycarbonate, with some tasteful dashes of brushed Aluminum. The outside of the Folio is covered in a carbon-weave mimicking coating, while the inside is lined with a soft microfiber that protects your iPad from being to harshly treated.

On the inside of the front flap are 8 ridges to rest your iPad on, in stand mode. Compared to most folios, this is means the variety in angles is pretty incredible, considering that you usually only get 3-4 at most. Not only that, but, the cover can be completely folded away, tucked neatly behind and out of site.

The case feels incredibly sturdy, and although it’s a tad on the heavy side, you don’t feel like you’re holding something pretty substantial, that will ensure your prized possession isn’t damaged in any way. Priced at $69.99 you do expect a great case, and you can’t be disappointed by this. It looks great, feels great, offers fantastic protection and is the most versatile folio I’ve ever used. I’m liking it a lot. You can buy it from Incipio’s online store.
