Elago’s design ethos has impressed me over the past few months. I tried a couple of the manufacturer’s cases, and although they weren’t mind-bendingly protective, they certainly look good. The latest product I’ve been shipped carries on in that tradition. The E6M Control Talk is attractive and practical. The flat cable minimizes the risk of tangling and adds a quality feel. The earphones come with 2 spare rubber earbuds, in different sizes. My favorite part: the machined holes that surround each earpiece. Nice touch.
The headset costs $32.99 (dropped from $79.99) and offers a decent sound quality. It’s not going to approach the level of quality studio monitors, but, it’s certainly an improvement on the bog standard Apple earphones. The red and black coloring ads a certain level of cool-ness, and will almost certainly get you noticed. If you don’t want to be noticed, they also come in plain black. Full review coming at a later date. E6M headphones can be purchased at Elago’s online store.
