I know, I know… another iPad 3 launch date rumor. But, considering this particular bit of sort-of-news is getting a fair amount of coverage and originates from a fairly reputable source, I thought I’d let you guys know. A website called iMore has apparently been in contact with sources that have been “reliable in the past,” and they’re saying that Apple will hold an iPad 3 event on March 7th.
When asked whether this information was accurate, Jim Dalrymple of The Loop, responded with a short “Yep.” Pair this news with the fact that the iPad 2 was also launched in the first week of March, and it’s no wonder this latest rumor is picking up steam.
You guys know the (rumored) specs by now, but in case you forgot, here’s what we’ve currently got on the table: 2048×1536 display, larger battery, different camera, A6 processor (possibly quad-core), and maybe even 4G LTE connectivity. All in all, definitely a formidable contender in today’s tablet market.
We’ll keep you updated if any more iPad 3 information surfaces, but I’d say it won’t be too long until you can pick one of these babies up for yourself!
