Apple Stock Hits All Time High
As a student, Apple’s announcement today made my dreams come true. Textbooks on an iPad? Thank you very much Steve Jobs. Before today, I had no real reason to buy an iPad, I’ve already got an iPhone, and a computer more powerful than the sun. Yet in this day and age, I still can’t walk to from one side of the room to the other without stubbing my toe on a textbook, made of paper. Thankfully, it looks like those days may be gone, and according to Wall Street, I’m not the only person in favour of this particular revolution.
At precisely 9:32 this morning, AAPL stock jumped to, as near as makes no difference, $431, Apple has again managed to break its all time high stock record. A sure sign that the men with the money are behind the second biggest US company. Apple’s stock dipped a little later in the day, but that’s neither here nor there, because Apple’s capital value also hit an all time high of $400 billion.
I was doing some research, and I found this fantastic article entitled: “Things Apple is worth more than”. For the full list check out the link above, but there is some incredible stuff over there. Things Apple is worth more than includes, Four American Civil wars, the Apollo space program twice, the NFL ten times, all the gold at the New York Federal Gold Reserve, the list goes on. More spectacular than that, is being more valuable than the entire GDP of some countries. Greece, Argentina, Denmark, and many many more are all less valuable than Apple. Regardless of your disposition towards Apple, you must admit that’s quite an achievement.
The bottom line is this. Apple is making a whole lot of money, and you, the Apple customer, are the reason why. The success of Apple’s products has pushed its market value through even the highest ceilings placed upon it by analysts. Apple will publish its full financial makings next week, and we’ll be right here to give you the results. Â Until then, will Apple’s stock ever stop rising? Or will it all come crashing down one day?
