My father in law updated his iPad 2 to iOS 5 beta 5 in a hospital! haha. but yea i watched it update and it took about 5-6 min to download on a 7MBPS (Max) down connection and then the install was another 5min and then it was done! and he didnt need to have it plugged in to the wall charger or the computer. oh and he updated from beta 4. the one problem i found was that their was a new glitch. you couldn't play streaming video. I would tap the play button and then it would act like it was loading but then it would say no.
I wasn't able to update to iOS 5 beta 5 at first. Â Then I erased all content and settings and the update was available. Â Obviously backup before erasing everything.

Had no problem over the air updating to iOS 5 beta 5 on Verizon iPhone 4.
