Let me start out by being honest here, I have never seen Covert Affairs. But, when I heard that they could have maybe, possibly unveiled what the next iPhone may or may not look like, I had to check out the picture online. Â What I saw was a horrible, plastic looking impostor that somewhat resembles an iPhone (hopefully nothing like the long-awaited iPhone 5). Â Yes, this phone is fake. And no, Apple hasn’t done anything about it – yet. But isn’t it somewhat odd that a TV show uses a prop of a non-existent iPhone? Â Could they be on to something? Â Or was someone a bit confused when they were assigned to make the prop look as realistic as possible?
My best guess: the prop designer went on Google, typed in what they thought was simply iPhone but was auto-completed to iPhone 5, and then built a prop based on the concept image they then saw. Anyone else have a better theory? Â Or better yet, can you all agree with me that this iPhone should never see the light of day? I like the idea of an edge-to-edge screen, but this just won’t do it for me. The phone that appeared on TV is waiting to be insulted below.
