Crafty Cool: SigniCASE Laser Engraved Wooden Cases
This week’s Crafty Cool pick are these nifty wooden cases from SigniCASE. They are handmade in Hong Kong by William from bamboo, walnut or sapele wood. The back of the case features a laser engraved image, or plain if you prefer the natural beauty of wood. The discrete front lip won’t interfere with a screen protector on your iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4, a common problem with cases. The two-piece design allows the bottom to slide off for docking.
The etsy shop has mostly camera designs, which brings a new level of cool to using Hipstamatic, or you can use your own image through their website. Much attention to detail is given from fashioning the cases as is to sustainability of the environment. William and his partner Alvis make certain that all materials — down to the packaging — use natural, sustainable and/or recycled wherever possible. These cases cost $34.99, quite reasonable given the materials, and include a free screen protector.
