Jailbreak for iPhone and iPad 3.1.3/3.2 now available

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! The time has finally come to jailbreak your iPhone with 3.1.3 OS and your iPad with 3.2 OS. Please be aware as this is for jailbreaking only. This will not unlock your iPhone or iPad. If you rely on unlocking the device to use it for another carrier other than AT&T then don’t use this.

The newest jailbreak is coming to us in the form of Spirit and has been developed by the iPhone Dev team. So where can you find more information about this jailbreak? You can read more about it here. Be sure to follow the instructions as there are some difficulties with windows PC users.

There has been much attention to this jailbreak for good reason. There was a lot of speculation as to whether or not this jailbreak would even be released. The biggest concern has been with the jailbreaking of the iPad with wi-fi and 3G. Would you be able to use this on a different provider or would you be stuck with AT&T? With a few simple modifications to a SIM card and a future release of an unlock, we shall see the iPad 3G being used on any GSM network. (Fingers crossed.)

Again, if you rely on an unlock for your iPhone to have service on a different provider, do not use this jailbreak. There is not an unlock for this device yet. If you want to find out more about unlocking and jailbreaking your iPhone on the 3.1.2 OS, read this guide.

Have you tried this yet? How is it working for you? Let us know in the comments below.

You don’t need to unlock a 3G iPad, it is already unlocked.

I finally decided to cave, and I jailbroke my iPod Touch. (Yes I know, I haven’t done it to my iPhone yet, I’m still a little scared on that one) Maybe I’ll do it… We’ll see.

The one’s who made the jailbreak were not the dev-team but the comex team with musclenerd instead :p just wanted to get this thing straight.

I just thought I’d post an update from my previous post.

I jailbroke my iPod Touch for the first time ever today, around 11am. I’ve seriously been playing with it till now. Around 1am in the morning. Yes, I’m serious, it’s so addicting. You start changing one thing, and you just end up changing everything. Then once you think it’s perfect, you see a completely different theme that you love! It just doesn’t end. I’m very happy that I jailbroke my iPod Touch, and I am honestly thinking about jailbreaking my iPhone. I still have concerns, and with the 4.0 update around the corner, I think I’m just going to wait. I recommend this jailbreak to everyone. Believe me, if I can do it, ANYONE CAN. I’m new to the whole jailbreaking process, and I had no troubles. It took me about 30 seconds.

I noticed that my screen on my iPod Touch took a bit on the colored screen. It took about 2 minutes and then rebooted.
