Apple Online Store Will Be Offline Tonight As It Is ‘Being Updated’

While there’s a chance that this could be nothing at all, Apple’s system status page notes that the Apple Online Store is scheduled to be offline tomorrow from 12:00 AM to 5:30AM PST. Apple’s online store typically goes offline due to product refreshes.

MacRumors points out that the page specifies that the Apple Online Store “will be updated” which could mean that the site will either have backend upgrades or new products will be available.

With so many products desperately needing upgrades, any sort of updates could be warranted. Last week it was reported that something new could be coming as soon as this week.

Apple has typically held spring events in March in the last few years, but rumors have suggested that it has been delayed until April this year.

Apple also lists Photo Print Products are also scheduled for maintenance at the same time, which could mean that they’ll be updating the infrastructure for that or suggest that this maintenance is not related to new products.
