Report: Apple To Launch New Red IPhone 7 And 128GB IPhone SE At March Event
Citing a Barclays analyst, Japanese blog Macotakara claims that Apple will be releasing a red variation of the iPhone 7.
A similar report last year noted that a red model of the iPhone would be coming, however, it was unclear at the time whether or not it was referring to the iPhone 7 or an iPhone 7s. This report specifically states that this new color option will be announced during Apple’s iPad event at the end of March. Which means it’ll be the iPhone 7 and not 7s.
The report also notes that Apple will be updating its iPhone SE line with a new storage configuration, adding 128GB to the lineup.
According to the information source, at the iPad Pro announcement event held in March, 2017, it seems that 128GB model would be possibly added to the models with the storage capacity variations, which are 16 GB, 64 GB, of iPhone SE.
If true, it means that Apple will at least be updating the smaller form factor in the U.S., even if updates are less frequent then the other flagship models.
The report indicates that Apple will be having an iPad event in March, which would make sense as we’ve heard a few rumors regarding a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro.
