After debuting in the Netherlands last month, Apple’s specialized Apple Support app is now available in the United States. The app gives users an easy way to get support on their mobile devices.
The app is designed to be a shrunken down version of Apple’s dedicated support website and provides a list of Apple devices the user owns, and gives them access to documentation for their devices.
The app also lets users natively schedule repairs at Apple retail locations or chat with Apple support staff. Once a chat session has ended, users can see their recent support history.
Setting up repairs and Genius Bar appointments used to be available directly within the Apple Store app, but with the latest major app update this functionality was removed in favor of focusing on the purchasing and browsing experience.
Apple Support is a free download on the App Store.
