ChargePoint, the world’s largest EV charging network, has confirmed today that it has built integration into the Apple Maps Appin iOS 10.
For EV owners, this means you’ll be able to see ChargePoint’s charging stations within Apple Maps, in addition to getting more information on the station, and being able to initiate the charge and complete the payment (including Apple Pay) all with a link to the ChargePoint app within Apple Maps.
ChargePoint, the world’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network today announced an integration with Apple Maps that lets drivers click on new EV Charger badges on Apple Maps… Right from their iPhone they can start charging, pay, and see other station details. Once they’re done charging they can navigate to their next destination. The presence of charging station badges on maps reinforces that EVs are going mainstream, with chargers popping up everywhere to make driving electric easy.
The integration will also include directions, hours of operation, and pricing if available.
ChargePoint has over 31,200 charging stations and maintains a real-time map on it’s website.
