Logic Pro X Update With Touch Bar Coming Early Next Year
9to5Mac reports that Apple will be updating its Logic Pro X application with Touch Bar support early next year. It’s unclear what’s in the new update but the latest GarageBand update should give us some clues.
The latest GarageBand update has Smart Control features on the Touch bar, which gives users quick access to effects and plug-ins. During Apple’s keynote, we specifically saw “Level, Gain, Tremolo, Tone, Fuzz, Drive, StudioA/Room, Delay.”
Let’s not forget the Smart Controls are customizable as the Touch Bar itself is dynamic. Plug-ins aren’t actually playing instruments, but it’s to allow users to fine tune the sound of recorded tracks and samples.
Apple describes it as the ability to “tap the Touch Bar to quickly fine-tune the sound of instruments and effects, or adjust the volume of a track.”
Logic Pro X goes for $199 on the Mac App Store and the Touch Bar update should be a free update to existing customers.
