According to two sources who spoke to Digital Music News, Apple is considering dropping the Apple Music monthly price. It says that the service’s current $9.99 for individuals will drop down to $7.99 and the family pricing will go from $14.99 to 12.99.
Digital Music News says the new pricing will be a “holiday promotion discount” which basically means the new pricing will start this holiday season. With both individual and family prices seeing a reduction in price, the student pricing will remain the same.
There have been multiple rumors in the past suggesting that Apple wants to reduce the monthly cost for Apple Music, with some even noting the price reduction before the service even launched.
