One of the main features of the Apple Watch Series 2 is an improved water resistance rating of up to 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010, which means that the Watch can be used for shallow-water activists such as swimming in a pool or ocean. Activities such as white water rafting or scuba diving is not recommended and may risk water damage.

The fine print on Apple’s website says the device should not used while waterskiing, scuba diving or other actives involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depth.
