Alongside various other betas, today Apple seeds its seventh tvOS 10 beta to developers.
TvOS 10 brings some notable changes to the platform such as single sign-on and a dark mode. It’s highly not recommended to run this beta as it may cause problems with your Apple TV down the road.
However, to proceed: head to Apple’s Developer portal and download the necessary profile to your Mac or PC. Plug the device in via the USB-C port on the back of your Apple TV and fire up iTunes.
From there, tap Option (Mac) / Shift (Windows) + Update and select the profile. Once completed, head over to your Apple TV’s settings > system > Software Update. If it does not appear, reboot your Apple TV and it should prompt you to update.
