Apple Sends Out September 7 Media Event Invites: ‘See You On The 7th’
Today Apple has sent out its media event invites for its September 7 event. The event will be held on September 7 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Fransisco, California. Via The Verge, the invitation simply reads “See you on the 7th.”
We expect Apple to announce its next-generation iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which are rumored to feature redesigned antenna lines, better processors, improved cameras and water resistance, the death of the headphone jack, and a pressure-sensitive Home button. Both phones are said to retain the iPhone 6/iPhone 6s design and shape.
Alongside iPhones, we’re expected to see the announcement of the second-generation Apple Watch with better waterproofing, an improved processor, and a built-in GPS chip.
On the Mac side of things, the highly anticipated MacBook Pro refresh with Touch ID and an OLED touch bar, along with most of Apple’s Mac lineup. However, rumors point to a separate press event later in the year.
What’s certain, though, that Apple will be announcing the release dates for its major OS releases which include iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10.
