It was only a few days ago that Microsoft finally pushed out an iOS version of its famous Office package. Now, looking to have one over its prime competitor, Apple has updated its iWork apps for iCloud, Mac and iOS.
The update brings updated designs for the document, spreadsheet and presentation editors in Pages, Numbers and Keynote for iCloud. As well as this, they all work fine with Retina displays.
In terms of what the update brings to each app individually, Pages comes with new and improved templates, the ability to edit charts in imported documents and text wrap. As for Numbers, there’s improved pop-up support, and, just like Pages, Keynote also sports the ability to edit charts in imported documents.
Apple’s last update was back in January, where it introduced several new features to improve the software as a whole. It included the enhancement of the return functionality that was removed back in September. So it’s about time – and perfect timing. Let the war between iWork and MS Office commence. There can only be one winner… Apple, of course.
