Stop me if you have heard this before, but Gene Munster is saying that an Apple television will be coming next year…oh, you have heard that? The past 3 years? Well, he just doesn’t want to give up, does he. We all think that an Apple television will be coming someday, but we aren’t necessarily sure when.
Maybe Munster is saying every next year so that when it finally does come, he can say he saw it coming. That’s okay, it let’s us continue the joke about him saying it will be coming next year, as it seems like that rumor will not stop until Apple actually makes an unveiling.
As you can see in the above slide of Munster’s presentation from Business Insider, he too has a sense of humor surrounding his previous – and missed – predictions about the Apple television sets coming.
I personally own an Apple TV right now, and am someone that would be very excited to see Apple enter the connected television market. People are always looking for new ways to stream their content from services such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, and many other content providing services.
Reading Steve Jobs’ biography by Walter Isaacson back when it was released also got me excited as Jobs said he had “cracked” the television, or finally figured out how it should be. Guess we all just have to wait a little longer to see what he meant.
What do you think? Would you buy an Apple television? What is the top price you’d pay? Let us know in the comments
