A job listing, pictured above, was just fount over at Apple. As you can see, it was posted at the beginning of the month, but with today’s rumor regarding Apple’s patents on flexible devices, 9to5Mac decided to do some digging, and this is what it found. As you can see above, the job summary for a “Senior Optical Engineer” is as follows:

Apple Inc. is looking for a Display Specialist to lead the investigation on emerging display technologies such as high optical efficiency LCD, AMOLED and flexible display to improve overall display optical performance.

If that doesn’t say Apple is looking at flexible displays, I’m not sure what does. It says, straight forward and in plain English, “flexible display” as a form of “emerging display technologies.”

Looks like something is definitely going on over in Cupertino. Nothing is of course for sure at this point, and this probably won’t be out anytime soon based on the job listing still being posted.

What do you think? Would you like to see flexible displays? Or is that just something that isn’t realistic for a device? Let us know in the comments
