AT&T is sure on the rise, announcing that it has had 1.2 million subscribers added in Q1 of this year, while the competition, Verizon, only added 677,000. Verizon also recently made the announcement that 4 million of its 7.2 million new smartphone users came in the form of iPhones.

AT&T will most likely be announcing its number of iPhone activations later on today, not long after Apple does its own announcing. Revenues for the big blue carrier did however drop year over year. However, profit actually saw in increase, from $3.6 billion to $3.7 billion.
