One subject that often makes it in to the Android vs. iOS argument is the whole open/closed ecosystem. Any manufacturer can create an Android device, and any developer can release whatever they like in to Google’s Play Store (formerly Android Market).
The screen shot above shows a list of popular Apple apps released in to Google’s Play Store, developed by “Apple Inc”. While all the logos and pricing looks official, the ratings – as noted by 9to5Mac – speak otherwise. And, let’s be honest, would Apple ever release anything for Android? I highly doubt it.
