IPad 2 Now Ships In Under A Week!

If you’re looking to buy an iPad 2, now’s the time to do it. According to the Apple website, shipping times for every variation of the device (color, carrier, capacity) have dropped down to just 3-5 days. This is great news to hear, especially considering that just four months ago the iPad 2 had a shipping time of 4-5 weeks!

It’s wonderful that Apple is finally able to make production of the device meet demand. Trust me, in the beginning of the iPad 2′s life, it seemed near impossible to get one. Though, that doesn’t mean getting one now is the easiest thing in the world.

Shipping times on the Apple website may have improved, but the same cannot be said for other retailers carrying the device. Both Best Buy and Wal-Mart list the device as “not available”, AT&T says it’ll ship the iPad 2 in 5-10 days, and MacMall has an expected wait of 1-2 weeks. Looks like Apple is getting a bit greedy with the iPad 2 supply…

So, for now anyway, stick to the official Apple site when buying an iPad 2 online. I’m sure stock will slowly improve across the board soon enough.
