EA Madden NFL 11 Out Now For IPad And IPhone

EA’s popular football game has now made it, for the first time, to the iPad. If you thought the iPhone version was impressive, you should see it on a 9.7″ screen. The game lets you play from a choice of 32 genuine NFL teams, in authentic stadiums from across the States.

The iPad version has a “unique passing wheel”, which has been designed specifically for that device. You’re not simply getting a blown up version of the iPhone/iPod Touch version, it’s been redesigned to make the most of the larger HD display. You can even see the players’ names on the back of their shirts, no more squinting your eyes.

There are a host of new features, including “Hot Routes Everywhere”, which allows the user to draw players’ routes on the pitch “pre-snap”, in either offensive or defensive play. The iPhone version has been optimized to make the most of the iPhone 4′s Retina display. Travis Boatman, Vice President of Worldwide Studios for EA Mobile stated:

“The release of Madden NFL 11 upholds EA’s legacy of innovation in the mobile industry. Total Defensive Control, a brand new feature for iPad and iPod touch, redesigns how you play defense giving you more control and ultimately, making it more fun. If you have a mobile device and you’re a football fan, then this is the game for you.”

The game is available here (clicking launches iTunes), and is priced at a fairly steep $7.99. According to early reviewers though, it’s worth every cent. We’ll try our best here on TodaysiPhone.com to get a full review done soon.
