Earlier this week Apple added select 2009 to 2011 model Macs to its vintage and obsolete products list, starting December 31. In that list, the company listed the 15 and 17-inch MacBook Pros from early 2011.
Today, the iPhone maker has added the 13-inch MacBook Pro from early 2011 to the list. The MacBook is listed as “vintage” in California and Turkey, and “obsolete” to the rest of the world.
This means that the early 2011 13-inch MacBook Pro will no longer be eligible for hardware service or new parts from Apple or its Authorized Service Providers, with the exception of California and Turkey.
The iMac (20-inch, Early 2009) and iMac (24-inch, Early 2009) have also become fully obsolete worldwide and have lost their “vintage” status in California and Turkey.
